Evening Tim. I haven't spoken to you in an age! I hope you are terrif.

It strikes me that finding authors you like and trust is becoming an increasingly valued commodity. I've just discovered Alastair Reynolds and shall be gladly reading the back catalogue, knowing it was written by a human bean. ❤️

No worries, I’ve been lurking mostly, not quiet having the energy for my usual Fedi antics.

This is very true & I shall have to investigate this Mr Reynolds!

I find that I retreat to my most fave authors (bet you can’t guess who they are 😜😂 ) when the black dog chases me, a safe haven in all the chaos of the world so to speak!

Just finishing Dan Brown’s ‘Origin’, Mrs S got me his latest ‘The Secret of Secrets’ for Christmas so that’s next on the list.

You are right about increasingly having to check if a ook is by a human author - happily I have an extensive TBR list from before the current AI madness so I should be alright for a little while at least!

If you've not read, strong recommend Dungeon Crawler Carl and the Bobiverse series. Always cheers me up or gets me nice and lost so my brain can switch off.

Well in the depths of deepest, darkest Yorkshire it is definitely evening.
