I can't believe I'm saying this, but one thing I miss about growing up in the 90s was that, not having internet, I really had no notion of fandom. If I liked something, even really loved something, I could just enjoy it and be happy I liked it, and that was enough. If I started talking to a friend who liked the same thing that was cool, and we could talk about it together, but if not, that was perfectly okay with me. I was happy and satisfied. #fandoms

There were fandoms where I lived in the 90s. They were just only sports fandoms.
The one thing I miss from the 90s is having a friend I can talk to. _
@Fragglemuppet It’s not so much the fandom but those who act as gatekeepers who ruin it for the rest of us.
