@matuzo the conferences that asked me to do this (and I was happy to oblige) were usually conferences that had live captioning — having slides in advance allows the stenographer(s) to set up their tooling so that eg very specific tech words are loaded into their system and can be typed faster / more easily (like with key shortcuts). Obviously not the case for every conference, but I wouldn’t dismiss it upfront! It’s definitely a nice accessibility side effect in some cases.

@matuzo Why does trust need to come into it when verification/review are lower risk? Particularly if the aspects being reviewed for are positive (like inclusion and access).
