Meta remotely disabled the cameras on thousands of its AI glasses after owners covered or destroyed the little LED that tells people they’re being recorded. A software update spots a blocked light and turns the glasses into plain Bluetooth headphones. Meta sold 7 million pairs last year, so even though they estimate misuse at less than 0.1%, that’s a lot of creeps. Frames of reference matter.
