Perhaps people don't understand how it important it is for a creator like me to know that I am doing *something* that matters.
So many of us feel very alone and isolated. I lost a lot of my ability to connect. What I have is writing and trying to be outside. It's often a very solo place I find myself mentally in. What happened in this space ruined a lot of peoples social connections
This is why I don't create anymore. 😞
This is the best time in history to be a working creator. We have unparalleled access to potential audiences!
But that means we fling our work into the chasm of the world. If we're lucky we might hear it bounce off someone on the way down. Occasionally, they shout up appreciation.
Often, all we hear all the trolls snickering as it passes by.
It's utterly disenheartening.
But we keep going.
