I don't understand how datacenters could enrich local communities unless the local community gets to tax the heck out of them.
So few people work at a datacenter! I had access to 151 Front for years, past the security desk I'd never see anyone.
Unless the hardware breaks modern servers rarely require a human to be near them. On companies operating "at scale" they won't even send a human unless there's a full shift of work for them to do.
