Can someone *please* explain this "unalive" euphemistic nonsense to me?
I've also noticed the word "kill" being bleeped out of audio, and blurred out of audio and video online. (Ironically, last seen on a clip from "Piers Morgan Uncensored")
Are there really people out there being triggered by the concept of death to this extreme? I can understand particularly violent or unpleasant ways of dying being upsetting, but people are killed every day. This seems like an extremely nannying measure.
@WiteWulf Nothing to do with triggers. It's apparently because some platforms like TikTok will hide or demonetise your videos for mentioning certain words, so the kids assume those words are forbidden everywhere.
@astronomerritt @WiteWulf what they said ^ Meta platforms do it too, it's pretty much impossible to talk about anything remotely controversial on there which is why Gen Alpha all seem to be calling Israel Iz and use .pdf for paedophile

@afewbugs @astronomerritt @WiteWulf It all reminds me of being on a fan-run Pink Floyd mailing list in 1993–’94 (Echoes) , where bootleg concert recordings were called Recording of Illegitimate Origins or ROIOs to thwart the copyright police. Which led to basically everyone who joined the list asking “what are ROIOs?”, which got them pointed to the list FAQ, which apparently the copyright police were incapable of finding for some reason? 🤦♂️
