Brey, brass tacks - SCOTUS is in on the plot, which means the courts won't save you. The only thing that has worked to slow down Trump this entire time was a multi-day general strike in Minneapolis and the surrounding area. That stopped Trump cold. And for whatever reason the American people decided to take the media's word for it that the only thing they did that worked so far, will never work.
Brey, it took two days.
Two days after the good people of Minny did a general strike, 120 CEOs wrote Trump to tell him "I will bury you in the backyard if this doesn't stop." Two days after that Trump ordered the withdrawal of the occupying Gestapo army, and in essence fired both of its commanders. A couple days after that, dragging his feet like a disciplined child, Tom Homan left.
Now did that end ICE in Minny? No. But the army went home when it said it was gonna stay forever. It worked.
@AnarchoNinaWrites Worked much better than the last 50 years of elections did, worked better than so many phone calls and emails that the inboxes of most representatives in the country are permanently full, worked better than fucking anything else that's been tried with maybe one exception.
We need to just shut it all down until these fuckers are gone. A "Until our demands are met" general strike (rather than a 'day of action') *will* get concessions, and can probably even get convictions.
Imagine what we could do if we all just didn't buy anything or go to work for a week?
They might be begging us to accept Trump's head on a pike.
This ain't 1890. This version of capitalism dies if the money stops moving. We can kill it.
