@otfrom @Thayer Speech transcription is one of those use cases that everyone "knows" to be a thing that LLMs are good at, and yet, on the occasions I've seen them operate on recordings of my own talks, they have dropped entire sentences and confabulated others. They produce credible output, but it doesn't match the input. I'm terrified of medical use of them.

@otfrom @Thayer Took my better half to the GP a couple of weeks ago. When we went in, the GP had clearly typed “Can Risperidone affect Prolactin levels?” into Google. I could see it on the screen next to them.

Said that I needed to contact her consultant to ask about reducing her dosage. I pointed out that she’s already on the lowest dose. I know GPs are busy but I just wish they would spend a bit of time reading the fucking notes.
