Revising a conference proceedings paper (from over a year ago...) and when I submitted it there were fewer than 8,500 Starlink satellites in orbit, out of about 12,500 total satellites.
Today there are 11,102 Starlinks out of 16,978 total active satellites. Fuck.
Dude managed to build a near monopoly on satellites by sheer brute force. Imagine what would happen if he starts weaponizing it by interfering with other satellites.
