Today is the gubernatorial election in Kagawa. Four candidates, four "independents." The current governor is backed by... every party from the LDP to the CDP (and everyone in between). He'll probably be reelected with 75% of the vote (and a participation of 20% like last time). One is backed by the CPJ (he's been a candidate for another election before).
Two are truly (?) independent. Now, the trick is to figure out what are they ideologies. One has a strange background. ⤵️

The independent candidates here tend to be "wear protective equipment before opening website" level off-the-wall. When the Kofuku no kagaku candidate is on the sane end the field isn't great.
He works in IT as well as in music (apparently he's a radio DJ, he's not young, though, he's in his 60s).
After using my search-engine-foo, I finally found one place where he talks about his platform. He wants to develop AI and limit the number of foreigners in the prefecture. Well, that's two red flags enough.
I can't really find anything about the fourth one though (just news cast, but you know how newscast never talk about actual issues and platforms)
