I finally got around to moving everything I had on #Google Drive to a USB SSD drive. I canceled my Google Drive subscription and now I have nothing on Google servers except an email account I am gradually shifting away from. This has made me unreasonably happy.

@RachelThornSub apologies if you knew this already but be wary of data retention when using an external SSDs for long-time storahe. Modern SSDs will start losing data in as little as 6-9 months if left unpowered.
