Attended an "AI training" today where someone rapidly fed prompts into Claude to show how it can help with policy work like reviewing and summarizing lengthy documents and shit. At the end, during Q&A, I asked what the presenters thought about the fact that the people on the other side are also going to be using AI to streamline their processes so now we just have AI talking to itself.
One acknowledged that's probably happening and it's an issue. The other went on some tangential explanation about how AI is here and we have to learn to use it properly and how it helps her college student kid study and blah blah blah. Seems I hit a nerve. My work here is done
