Dear culture-war motorists, look to the future. We’ll all be driving at 20mph soon

@afewbugs as a recently returning car owner, after 16yrs absence, I've noticed that driving at 20mph in a 20mph zone is guaranteed to really annoy a significant amount of car drivers. I've even had someone overtake me on a zebra crossing outside a school at opening time. Crazy stuff.
@afewbugs I remember my right-wing London cop brother saying in the very early 90s Greens policies were unrealistic, and he gave 20mph zones as an example. He later said it was stupid as everyone went 30. I didn't bother pointing out they all used to go 40-50 if it's actually clear enough.
@afewbugs Probably no city needs it more, choked to death by multiple cars per household.
But a bankrupt city won’t be able to provide alternatives, or even make bus fares free.
