Communities in #Birmingham UK have developed methods for responding the recent epidemic of far right activists hanging British and St George flags high up on flagpoles to embolden racists organising and intimidate minorities.

- For every flag spotted, the community is donating £5 to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees. They have already raised £1,533 and rising.

The best of Back to the Beggining so far: Halestorm and Supergroup A with bandmembers from Megadeth, Faith no More, Anthrax and others. With the Anthrax incarnation being the very best so far. Alice in Chains are on stage right now, they sound like a very competent band but they're lacking anger, or vodka, or both.

That was an excellent performance by Halestorm. Well constructed songs, sometimes veering into hard rock, sometimes anthemic a la Iron Maiden, sometimes integrating a richer rhythm dynamics kind of Metallica.
