AN APOLOGY TO MAGA REGARDING MY DOLLY PARTON PIECE Dear MAGA Americans, I recently published a Substack piece entitled 'No MAGA, Dolly Parton Was Not One Of You', which offended many of you, and I wanted to apologize. I'm sorry I didn't shield you from the truth that Dolly was a fierce LGBTQ ally and an outspoken trans supporter, while your leaders brutalize them. I'm sorry that I reminded you that she funded vaccine research and hospitals, while your guys peddle conspiracy, cut healthcare benefits, and demonize doctors. I'm sorry I forced you to hear that she donated 300 million books to children, while your people are removing and banning them (and recently defunded her). I'm sorry for making you deal with the hypocrisy of claiming you adored Dolly Parton, while supporting a person and party who are antithetical to everything she stood for, cared about, and gave her money and time to.
