The first time I tapped into the search field in Apple Maps, I was out of town and saw an ad for a mattress store about 12 miles from my house back home.
Since then nothing but the sort of stuff I'd prefer - mostly restaurants within a short distance of my home that I like.
@johnvoorhees That last sentence is pretty wild. Now Apple gets to charge the restaurant some money even though you like it and presumably will go there anyways. They get to muddle the user experience along the way. I’m sure soon it’ll just be fast food restaurants though.
@armengrewal No, those weren't ads - just the usual type of stuff based on past searches and my Maps history presumably
