#Luanti removed from Google Play due to baseless AI copyright notice
@Luanti I'm so sorry this happened and that you have to spend your valuable time and energy to fight these claims. Copyright laws are not functioning as they should when the stifle innovation :'(
@Luanti Very unfortunate, and not the first time that Tracer.AI has erroneously bullied projects. Maybe @thelinuxEXP could talk about it in the next weekly news to give it more reach.
@Luanti Can you just sue them for false claims?
@Luanti Resist! ❤️
The #DigitalMillenniumCopyrightAct is yet again used by corporations to easily takedown legal competitors. Let's also use an AI to do automatic accusations to sounds even more effective in killing competitors.
I hope Microsoft will share a big "whops sorry" as soon as possible.
@Luanti
@marcocappato
ennesimo tentativo di uccidere la libertà
@Luanti: Gross. In a just world, they'd be busted down for that.
@Luanti good i have fdroid
@Luanti This is the reason I don't trust Microsoft and Google, I still won't stop using #opensource. 😡
@Luanti Yay, another complete BULLSHIT copyright claim! Just what we needed.
I love how you went out of your way in your blogpost to show HOW bullshit it is, even by showing literally all textures including in Luanti. 👍
This also proves yet again how important it is to also have libre games (and game engines) hosted on NON-Big-Tech infrastructure as well, because Big Tech can backstab you at any time (like it just did).
Speaking of Big Tech: Ditching GitHub when? 🙂
@Luanti I absolutely utterly do not want to play this or anything else like it on a smartphone.
I may install it from F-Droid anyway just to make a point.
@Luanti Feels a bit ironic to complain about AI if afaik you also use it (and furthermore therefore can't actually say that you don't have any proprietary code in it)…
@Luanti fuck google deep and wide
@Luanti terrible news! I'll tell everyone who I can about this!
