My life actually did change when I joined the Fediverse. I would not be where I'm at with my understanding of how we make real change & save OURSELVES in this apocalypse if Twitter were still my online home (even IF Musk had not taken over).

I also would not feel able to be nearly as vocal on Twitter as here. I mind what I say carefully in part because I don't want to cause my generous hosts on my instance any grief (of the legal variety), but the breadth of what I can say is greatly expanded.
