You can probably guess how rare and bad #disability representation is in kids books, so I really appreciate this picture book about #YayoiKusama . It talks in first-person about seeing things other people don't, a pumpkin talking to her, and living at a hospital. (Also about being poor, protesting the Vietnam war, and getting arrested.)

A lot of kids know her work and do polka-dot art assignments at school too; she's not just some adult celebrity they've never heard of.
