I'm realizing that the reason I never seriously considered autism for myself for so long is that, among many of those I am closest to back home, I am the least autistic.
What I mean by less autistic is that if you screened us for autistic traits, I would be closer to the average human on most of what is measured than many of those I am closest to.
I still appear to fall well outside the norm, though.
