My first reaction is not excitement, nor is it relief or any other positive feeling or thought.
It's more like "That's an absurd fuckload of money." and "Are they sure what they're doing???"
If they think Barcola can become something like the next Mo Salah maybe it's justified. If he's anything less than the next Sadio Mane, this is worrying.
@vruz isn't he (mainly) a left winger?
@spicewiesel Yes, but I understand that as the chance of at least building something new, a little bit of surprise we haven't had for a few years. Not as a piece for piece replacement of Mo Salah.

@BillSaysThis There has to be something more that I'm not seeing here. And if there's nothing more, their aims and motivations are completely opaque to me.
