For the #Ækeynox projet, I’m looking for a generic term for Spanish and Portuguese. (Ideally, for all countries or languages in Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula.)
– ”Latin-*” feels off, as there are other Latin languages (French, Italian, Romanian…)
– “Iberica” would be a nice portmanteau word in English (Iberia/America), but just means “Iberian” in Spanish
– “Portuñol” feels either too pejorative or too specific to a latam dialect, am I wrong?
Suggestions and boosts appreciated. 🙏

@saper To fit these languages on an ergonomic 3×10 keyboard layout, we use a separate layer containing all non-ASCII characters. The #Ækeynox project proposes layers that apply to several similar keyboard layouts.
As an example, the “Nordic” layer contains characters for the main Scandinavian and Finnic languages, and can be used with keyboard layouts from Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Estonia:
