I first saw this movie when I was 12. It was my introduction to transgender/non-binary everything, and opened my eyes to a world that I didn’t know existed. I’m grateful for that.

As an aside, TIL that this was Tim Curry’s debut role in a film. He had been acting in theater prior to that (including the theater performance of The Rocky Horror Show), but this was his first on the screen.
