I'm not happy about this Meta settlement. It does nothing to address the surveillance business model which is at the core of the harms caused by meta. Instead it subjects billions to age gating and restricts the speech and privacy of teens even further.

Though I guess the only outcome I would have been truly happy with is one where all meta platforms are abolished, and Zuck serves a lifetime sentence as an unpaid Mastodon SRE.
