As the end of the month approaches, fear is taking over our lives. We're terrified that we won’t be able to pay the rent & we could lose the only shelter we have left.
It's the only safe space my family has. Here, my father can breathe without fearing the dust outside. My mom can sleep in a more comfortable place without the constant pain in her back. Here, Lelia can sit safely, do her homework, & study for school.
We still need $207 for the rent. Please help us reach it before the deadline.
This house is not a home for my family alone. It has also become a shelter for this little cat, who chose to stay with us as she waits to give birth. She sits at our doorstep, too afraid to step outside and lose the safety she finally found.
