I finally succumbed to temptation and tried using compositing when (re)processing some of my images of nebulae. For this image of the Eagle and Swan Nebulae I removed the stars, fiddled with the nebulae only image, then mixed just a little of the stars back in. It's cheating, in a way, but a pretty common astrophotography workflow.

All data (just over 5 1/2 hours worth) from my Seestar S30 Pro, processed in Siril with RC Astro and VeraLux scripts. Yeah, I'm trying out the RC Astro stuff too, using the 30 day free trial.
