Almost 15 years ago I used to import and sell a lot of products in the EU.

Dealing with VAT was a pain, but there were sales thresholds and then EU implemented the "one stop shop" to make it easier.

I also used to have to pay WEEE disposal fees, but that was straightforward for the whole EU.

It boggles my mind that these packaging restrictions were brought in without a) a de minimis and b) a single EU-wide registration system.

It's not like they don't already do it for other regulations.
