Got outbound calling from the Waveshare board going this evening. Worked a treat on my regular AussieBB / Optus SIM.
Photo shows the board connected to a Pi4, and me SSHing into the Pi from my Framework. Minicom and AT commands giving me major flashbacks to 20+ years ago. CoolRetroTerm to complete the nostalgic feels.
(The Vodafone / Lebara test SIM is not so great - received an odd warning about 000 calls before each outbound call. But good enough for ongoing testing.)
DIY phone here we come ...
