@rl_dane @davidgerard There have been a drip of reports for the past five years that Apple was working on one, but refused to release it until (a) they could do one without a tendency to crease along the fold, and (b) a manageable defect rate (to avoid blowing up the warranty budget).

I'd quite like an iPad Mini that folds down into an iPhone, thanks, but not at a higher price than an iPad Mini *and* an iPhone Pro Max.
