When I say, I know my way around computers, means, I know my way around Windows.
My friends who actually know their way around computers, all recommend Linux. But the tech and Open Source community swear on their programs as much as they want and feel superior over them, but it's not a systemic solution, as long as you can't update Discord without writing code.
Linux users are essentially the vegans of computers, if I dare say so.
Microsoft has created an interface for a computer with Windows, that makes a computer's operation pretty intuitive, without taking away other features. Everyone can use Windows. They have created a monopoly upon that and they're fully putting it to use.
Linux can't be a systemic alternative, as long as it makes computers more inaccessible.
