An unexpected catch. It was 4 PM when I looked out the window and saw colors in the sky that reminded me of an aurora borealis. I ran to grab my camera and barely managed to take one photo before it vanished. It wasn't an aurora, nor was it a common rainbow. It's actually a circumhorizontal arc, popularly known as a "fire rainbow". This happens when sunlight passes through ice crystals in very high clouds. For this to occur, the sun must be at a very specific angle, which is why it only lasts for a few moments.A very rare optical phenomenon to witness in Europe. Nature never ceases to amaze me.
