Just back from a phenomenal 8 days on the Wonderland Trail with @andrewbriscoe in Mt Rainier National Park. The trail more than delivered on its name and I was continually at loss for words to describe the beauty of Tahoma. Truly she is the queen of the Cascades.

I'll fill in this thread with pictures and stories as the week goes on. For now I'm struggling to adjust to being back in civilization and NOT walking 10-11 hours a day. It is awfully nice to be clean again.

An expansive view of Tahoma (also called Rainier) from the southeast. The view is from the top of a grassy ridge across subalpine parklands, meadows interspersed with stands of fir trees. The mountain has glaciers as well as lots of light gray rock. The sky is clear blue.

Tahoma is a round dome behind the sharp peak of Observation in this view from Spray Park. The foreground is low berry bushes, in red and green.
