Newsflash, and I would like the Canadians to pay attention here for a minute because this affects you and your media is not telling you the truth:
There was NEVER a deal to be made. We are NOT negotiating. Trump wants to take over Canada and every trade deal we "negotiate" with you is just another means to that objective. We are NOT negotiating. People NEGOTIATING don't demand to control your trade agreements forever. This was NEVER a negotiation, it's war in suits.
@AnarchoNinaWrites Oh heavens, we've known this pretty much since the first stupid tariffs. But it's essential, even when negotiating with asshats, to negotiate in good faith and to respect terms and appropriate restraint. That behaviour is what makes all our new trade and security agreements possible.
But also, don't let the bully get away with his his bullshit. Walk away at the right moment.
