There is a street in Venice called Calle dei Fabbri, and Google Maps insists that it's called "Per S. Marco".
They almost surely read the signs pointing towards Piazza San Marco and mistook them for the street name. “Per S. Marco” literally means “Towards San Marco”.
As far as I remember, this error has been there for years, and it still is.
