First time starting up an Android device in... maybe a decade? And: wow. Start up, no sim card in the device even, no login to anything, and ads right there first thing, in a device I've paid for. Very cool to thumb right and get a fullscreen ad for That Fucking Guy and some MAGA shill from Alberta looking right there like it's part of the stock install because I'm in Canada I guess.
