We are uncovering, well, ways of developing
software by letting machines do it and then brag about it.
Through this work we have come to value:
- Prompting over programming
- Downloading skills over learning skills
- Auto mode on over developer autonomy
- Vibing over versioning
- Burning tokens over burning out
That is, while there is value in the items on the right,
we've only read a summary of the items on the left.
We follow these principles:
Our highest priority is to satisfy the customer
through early and continuous delivery
of software they could have prompted themselves.
Welcome changing requirements, even late in
development. Agentic proccesses value change
because they've forgotten the context anyway.
Deliver vaguely working software frequently, from a
couple of seconds to an overnight loop, with a
preference to tokenmaxxing.
Business people and developers must work
together daily to make themselves obsolete.
Build projects around motivated individuals.
Give them the frontier models and support they need,
and trust you'll be firing and rehiring them soon.
The most efficient and effective method of
conveyeing information to and within a development
team is by passive-aggressively patching CLAUDE.md.
Jobs cut is the primary measure of progress.
Agentic processes promote sustainable development.
OpenAl, Anthropic, Google, and Microsoft should be able
to have hockeystick growth indefinitely.
