No I mean I am not being hyperbolic at all when I tell you I am 100% sure I could staff the entire government, any government, out of the city phone book of a medium-sized, demographically diverse American city, and you would see instant improvement in governance. Like that's not a joke. Yes, we'd elect some cranks, but it would be SOME cranks, not uniformly ppl who think killing the poor is a solution to a debt crisis or those that work for them.
