Are we nearly at forcefields? I imagine it might be quite nice to sit atop a double decker bus and instead of glass it's just forcefields. Open to the elements but protected from wayward branches or the intersecting flightpath of an errant pigeon. Would wind go through a forcefield? Sorry to get so deep on the Internet.

Magnetism is a force field. Not going to stop wind or water, but might stop pigeon poop if you could seed all pigeon food with appropriately charged particles the magnetism would resist.

Force fields are basically magic; there is no real way to do it. It’s more fantasy than science fiction.
If you speak nice to your Auntie Gravity she might be able to sort you out a force field.
@TheBreadmonkey We have plasma windows. That's not exactly a force field, and it's a lot better at stopping gases than solids. Which is the opposite of what you wanted, actually. None of the wind, but all of the branches slapping your face, but also with little wisps of electrically discharging fire on them.
