The Florida Department of Health, Bureau of Radiation Control (FLBRC) responded to a call from the public and impounded 2 lead pigs possessed by a Florida resident. One lead pig held an estimated 50 mCi Ra-226 nasopharyngeal radium applicator with a 25 R/hr on contact dose rate. The second pig was empty.
