Now that the health system is on the brink of collapse, they're dragging Prof Michael Baker back into the spotlight to talk about masking. Apparently, no one else in this country can tell people to act in time to prevent such a dramatic turn. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@ConnyChiwa As a Kiwi visiting the UK, enduring the latest strain of covid-19 after a city break in London, I can definitely vouch that it isn't gone, and it isn't fun.

Despite being a former healthcarer hyper-aware of hygiene and taking every possible sensible measure, it was impossible to stop my parents also getting it because the recent heatwave really didn't move air enough in their small home.

Adequate means of ventilation is essential.

Grim to think NZ has this flu to come home to, as well.
