People have been using computers to do all kinds of fancy statistical analysis, to solve complex problems, but we didn't say "computer predicts weather!!!" Or "computer discovers oil!!!".

All these announcements saying "AI™ does (whatever)" are just marketing to try to make us think a type of software tool is more like a human than other software.

They are trying to get us to treat it as autonomous in order to avoid responsibility, just like they did with corporations and states.
