Damnit my new Pixel 8 (on GrapheneOS) just crashed and now won't turn back on at all. Totally unresponsive. I assume the battery just went entirely below some voltage and isn't coming back. Gotta do some diagnostics now. I am back on the older pixel 6a with a shattered screen now for the time being
Had this problem several times.
1. Charge it for 30 min, even if it's dead.
2. Then avoid to restart phone! Always try to boot into Fastboot Mode (Press On/Off & Lower volume)
3. Try pressing these buttons really long (60-120 seconds) to enter fastboot mode.
4. Try pressing even longer.
One in fastboot mode, stop here and charge it! You can't see any progress, but it should charge in this mode. Charge it at least 30min, then try a normal boot.
@rufposten well this is very strange, it just turned back on after seemingly being dead for the past many hours. I left it charging for a while and then gave up on that and it was just sitting there and now it turned on and is acting like everything is normal
Anyone have any Pixels for spare parts? I need a screen for a 6a or a battery for an 8. Would sort of like to see if a working battery would bring it back to life without wasting a fresh battery for nothing
god damn I am so confused whats going on: so yesterday after letting the phone sit for a while it just turned back on and then when that happened I quickly disabled the multiple profiles since I read somewhere that that could be causing some issues and then I also switched to the new beta of Lawnchair and now the phone has been running better then it has in a week and hadn't crashed or slowed down at all so I figured one of these things was what had been causing the issue.
so just now I opened Conversations (xmpp client) and the phone freezes up and then turns off completely. Luckily it turned back on with only the power button this time...
