@atpfm Without looking at the correct answer, my mental model of Slack logins is that once you verify that you own an email address, whether that's with a password or a one-time link, you get access to the OTHER workspaces with an account that matches your email address. It's been a while since I've messed with it though, and I hope it stays that way.
@outadoc That's what I thought! But then it wouldn't let me log in with the same email address and password I just used to log in to several other Slacks. (And, yes, the email address part was correct! It just wanted a *different* password, which I eventually entered.)
@siracusa Oh yeah, I guess that's not it then, Slack would have automatically signed you into the other workspaces…
I don't understand how they haven't had a complete overhaul of that system yet, it must be an absolute technical mess
@tcb Mostly like forums/message boards for me, but not always.
@atpfm @marcoarment The new episode limit behavior sounds a bit like “easy for the developer, but not ideal for the user.” I want to download an episode and get blocked by a dialog—not great, not terrible.
Instead, I would: a) download the episode (if the user pressed the button, it must work), and b) present a small, non-modal pop-up: "Episode limit for this podcast raised to X"
Deleting episodes above the limit on app update is even worse.
Just to note, there are lots of voip services you can move your land line to.
I replaced a $40/month land line with a $1/month voip line. :)

@freediverx @dschaub Not quite. When Verizon installs their fiber service, they remove the old copper lines.
The POTS phone jack is powered by the fiber terminal and transmitted digitally over the fiber.
There's a small backup battery in the terminal for exactly this reason, but it's not made to last through extended outages. And if the fiber is "out" enough, the phone won't work, either.
@atpfm listening to a classic episode #96
@blazesanders I've only got 12 open right now!
@siracusa I’m proud of you 😎🤓
