Hot take: if you consider yourself a male feminist, the very first thing you should do, before advocacy, before anything, is get good at cooking and cleaning.
My main point is. This is work that is pushed on women, whether or not we are good at it. Think of all the time and mental energy that you could return to daughters, sisters, mothers, wives, girlfriends, etc, by taking on that work over the course of a lifetime. Think of how much that adds up.
And I said "get good", not just do it, because yes, that matters. This is one of the most important things you can do. Treat it like work, and like purpose. Learn. Research. If you're lost, there's thousands of books and different methods. Get good at it. So we can trust you to do it. So that you NOTICE what needs to be done, and you NOTICE when it is done by others, and you do it independently and don't just assist. ๐
My mother was a feminist and reared all of us to do that stuff.
the old joke that what men could do for women's liberation is provided childcare for the meetings.
