I initially thought Codeberg's updated terms of service against vibe coding and crypto was a good change, but after reading several critiques, I like it even more.

@ross I read a critique piece that sells the idea of it not being a change for the better. Do you have any recommended resources that agrees with the change or what you personally like about it, Ross? I want to read about both sides of the coin from real developers.
@eclecticpassions I don't have a more eloquent explanation that Codeberg's own post, but I do have:
- hours spent defending my own server instead of creative pursuits.
- legacy GitHub projects where it's no longer worth sifting through slop to find the genuine PRs.
- the alienation of trying to exchange ideas with other developers and realizing I'm talking to a bot.
FOSS in 2026 is miserable, and Codeberg is taking positive action to fix it.

@sillyCoelophysis Codeberg's own post lays it out well. The operators and the community they serve are strained by these technologies, and the community has voted to protect itself.
