That's exactly what I believed and I would like to be sure to understand it rightly. Can we put it that way : in the whole Linux genealogical tree, one branch has given birth to the AOSP offshoot, among which we find #GrapheneOS ?

@hp @nyancient @FediFollows @wariat @SpaceLifeForm GrapheneOS is a Linux distribution and has always been described as one. It started as largely being a mobile Linux kernel hardening project branched off from doing that work for a desktop distribution (Arch Linux).
GrapheneOS phones are Linux phones, as are the vast majority of phones people use. We aren't going to accept the gatekeeping around what is or isn't Linux on mobile.
Bringing systemd and XDG to mobile isn't bringing Linux to it.
