implemented the discard action and regular card drawing*, as well as playing cards in You Have Died. too tired, sorry, video later
*when your focus bar fills you automatically draw 1 card from the deck into your hand, but the draw action, which you can only do on your turn, lets you draw 3 and pick 1 to put in your hand
i'm very close to having all the combat bits wired up properly. i was hoping to have everything done today but i still gotta do run, items, and willpower :/
but the whole combat system will be wired up properly before the end of the month so that's a huge victory
6 weeks to implement the whole combat system. thats pretty good time, right?
Sometimes I think about the stories behind games in the early 90s where it's like "3 guys made this game in only 90 days" and I feel bad about how fast I get work done
I suppose in a lot of those cases they clearly didn't put in the kind of polish expected from modern games
