Little things like the bounce/elasticity of window contents when you're scrolling through, the speed and accuracy of the mouse cursor as you insert text, even the latency of keypresses are all different between GNOME and macOS (as you'd expect) - they're not bad, just different. It's probably something that can be tweaked, but I don't really care that much, I'm just hypersensitive to these micro-differences - it's like wearing a new pair of shoes after the ones you wore everywhere for years fall apart

@decryption there’s things like drag and drop which are seriously lacking (but perhaps Linuxers are Too Good at Computer to care)
@huwr ahh yes, I like dragging the icon in the title bar in macOS between apps

@huwr yep, i'd drag the icon from sublime text into Safari in the dock and see my HTML! or drag the icon from Preview into Transmit to upload it

@decryption I regularly switch between Debian, macos, and Windows desktops. I don't know how to do anything anymore.
@mike to make it worse, everything happens in a browser and each "app" has its own UI or way of doing things - the consistent look and feel of apps on a desktop PC is long gone :(
@decryption @mike was there ever a properly consistent look and feel though? MacOS was probably the best here due to the tools Apple included for developers, and Linux the worst (on account of having way too many tools), but even at the best of times, there were still apps that decided to do UI in a strange way.
