Workflow changes I've made in the past 12 months, and am very happy with:
tmux → zellij
vim → neovim
git → jujutsu
notion → obsidian
Of those, #jujutsu is the biggest improvement. If you use `git rebase` or `git stash` regularly, you're probably the kind of person who would love it too.
@krisajenkins Are you coding with AI much, integrated with neovim? I’m keen to try jujitsu too
@krisajenkins out of curiosity Kris, how do you use them? CLI?
I have heard great things about jj but every time I ask someone about it (so far) the the real pain wasn’t git itself but the fact that they were using a CLI. I’ve never had issues with rebases, stash juggling, merge conflict resolution, staging commits like by line etc. because I’ve almost always used some other tool (Tortoise -> Fork -> GitKraken -> Sublime Merge -> Magit; each better than the last).
@krisajenkins What are the advantages of zellij compared to tmux for you?
@picnoir Ha, I couldn't let go of magit, so I ended up writing my own version of it for Neovim. :-)
